Thanks. My favorite ones are the salad tongs. Those are going to my parents where I’m not 100% sure they will get use. I gave them an end grain cutting board a couple of years ago and they treat it more like a display item than a useful kitchen tool. LOL every time I go there I have to explain the benefits of end grain cutting boards on knife blades, etc… Maybe these salad tongs will get more use. :-)

Looks good Brian. I have the same problem with the cutting boards. They are made to be used.

Funny I have just started to make spoons. Hope they turn out as as good as yours.

Brian,

I love all the kitchen utensils. I especially love practical gifts and even more so when they are hand-crafted and lovely, too. Your gift recipients are blessed!

With an envious smile, I’m not sure how you make these…
Great work!

Well, to be honest, I couldn’t make spoons without my friend Jack sending me a set of card scrapers that included a French curve one. That’s how I smooth out the ladle after hogging it out with a 1/4" chisel. So thanks once again, Jack, and merry Christmas everyone!

Great gifts Brian, you have really been busy. I can understand them not wanting to use them as I am about using the amazing mallet you gave me. I have it in the center of my pegboard above workbench and the hardest hit it has ever had was to crack some English walnuts. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Jack

Haha! Walnut cracking is good, but don’t be afraid to knock a locked hasp off a garage door – which I did with the mallet I use to gain entry. It did somewhat damage the mallet, but not to the point where it can’t still be used for many years to come.

Brian, I’ve called the cops about your “breaking and entering”! I hope you have a good alibi! ;-)
