Question: is the light attached to it? That would be handy!

Yes, the light is attached. If you zoom in just below the switches, there is a clamping system as well as welder/annealer. Designed so that if you buy blades by the roll, you cut it to length, clamp it that little jig, anneal and weld all with the push of a button. I’ve got it to weld but haven’t perfected a decent weld with it. There is a certain time that is has to be annealed etc in order to work properly. I only go through a couple of blades/ year so I just order them already welded

And the saw weighs 800 lbs so I only used that cart to get in position and to service the saw. That cart is at max capacity! haha

Back in the 70's and through the 80's the Chinese (Taiwan) knocked off a lot of successful tools. Kinda reminds me of my Buddies Do-All, also with an annealer. All of the handles match up, buttons too, looks almost like a pic of his, except his also has a big Do-all tag on it.
Welds are pretty easy on his, you just have to square cut the ends, and sand them down to a short taper. The flux, and weld fill the dip, and you can sand the weld flat after that. Long ago I bought 1000 foot rolls of blade stock, and made my own blades. Young and single then, nowhere to be. Times changed

@ GeorgeWest Yeah, I did all that and the blade looked good but a bit of pressure and the weld snapped. I've since replaced this saw with a 6 x 12" horizontal, swivel head saw. It can be used upright as well but that is awkward because of where you have to stand to use it that way.
