Lots of work went into that table! Are you planning to color your wave blue? A blue stain would allow the wood tones to come through and make it look like it’s right on the ocean!

I did stain the base blue originally and it looked really bad . The birch didnt take the stain as well as I had hoped it would .

Thanks for the explanation. I would have thought that would be great in blue, but we all live and learn. You had a lot of work removing it! Maybe try a different dye on a sample piece? It’s such a great idea and the board is awesome with its high gloss finish.
