Finger should be good as new in about 2 weeks. That was really a close call. I can’t imagine the damage if it caught my wedding ring. Respect your tools at all times! I probably should have been using a push stick on those operations in close quarters.

This is my mockup for the teeth. You can see how badly I mangled the ones on the mallet. I think I’ll slice the faces off and make new teeth on plates that I can glue on to the mallet head.

I prefer my meat mallet to have no teeth. Just put some clear wrap on top of the wood and bang away. Also no router to bite your fingers.
