Making it from two 5 foot pieces of laminated tops. One section is on wheels so I can use it as an L shaped or one 10 foot straight away. In the process of putting shelves underneath. Also photo of tool bench.

You guys are all great!
Jack Kingtag:craftisian.com,2005:Entry/4582015-03-05T02:47:49Z2020-03-05T12:04:08ZIt's time for a selfie
I was on Facebook this evening and several people had taken a “selfie” and posted it. I didn’t know what a selfie was until a couple of weeks ago when my son told me. Since we would not know each other if we passed on the street, I propose those of us who are not too shy, post a selfie. Be brave all of you good people, you know yours won’t be as bad as this first guy.
Jack Kingtag:craftisian.com,2005:Entry/4302015-02-26T02:01:01Z2020-03-05T12:04:08ZTour of jack's shop/man cave/hideout/doghouse
OK, I hope when you read the title you will do so with low expectations of what is to follow. Anything appearing to be strange, chalk it up to a rookie finding his way. The shop is 34 by 54.
Work bench with a mixture of some quality and lesser grade tools.
Couple of things I’m working on, a chess board for a friend and a music stand for a lady who plays cello.

Sliding compound miter saw, air compressor and a tv which is either on the western channel or the golf channel at all times.

A Shopcraft drill press which was given to me by an old gentleman who was breaking up his shop and going to a nursing home,. Also grinder and a scroll saw which was useless with my skill until I discovered spiral blades.
Lugana 14/10 bandsaw, along with dust collector. I built a small room for sanding, sawing and planing, and run the hose through the wall to the machines, which are all on wheels.
Inside of sanding room, with exhaust fan, collector hooked to machines and a homemade furnace blower air cleaner sitting at the door, no dust escapes the room.
Drafting desk and chair I built.

Lumber supply consists of cherry, oak, mahogany, popular, maple, cedar, Brazilian mahogany and some I have no idea what they are. I’m building another rack and hope to get it off the floor soon. Hope you don’t find this too long and too boring.
Jack Kingtag:craftisian.com,2005:Entry/3732015-01-23T18:14:56Z2020-03-05T12:04:07ZPortable dust catcher

I’m am sure some of you have built one of these and I am for CERTAIN everyone’s looks better than mine but it does a really good job catching floating dust that my Ricon dust system misses. Also this white elephant is on wheels and I can move near whatever I’m working on. The box is plywood and it uses up to 4 furnace filters. I got the furnace blower free for the asking from a local heating and air conditioning co. Thought I would post it and maybe give some new woodworkers an idea that would help keep their lungs and shop cleaner. Again I apologize for appearance but it really does a good job. I have a second blower and I am building another one and I promise it will look much better than this one. Thank you for looking.
Jack King
