Yes good thing, hard to do all that when you work a 9-5!!

Yes it is. My shop provides me a way to stay out of LOML’s hair, we both need a little space at times. That said, when I retired several of my colleagues said they didn’t want to retire because “I wouldn’t have anything to do” (!). For me, I don’t know how I had time to work…….

You have the same past times as me save fly fishing and grandkids. Welcome.

Retired but between hobbies wife-kids grandkids- I wonder how the hell I had time to work???

Doesn’t sound like it’s help you need, but a ‘Congrats’!

Thanks for the replies. Thorreain, I am a partially disabled vet myself. I used to fly fish years ago with a Bamboo Fly rod that belonged to my grandfather. I also have 6 grandchildren who range in ages from 13 to 3 weeks.

Tony, you are correct. I remember working 8 -3:05, believe me, retirement is better.

Fred, I know what you mean. I can go to my workshop and stay out of my wife’s hair. And like you, I don’t know how I had time for working.

Mike, I understand. The days seem too short don’t they?

Smitty, thank you. I am blessed by having a few tools, a decent workshop and a family that uses the things I make.
