Nice workshop. I hope you keep the roomies covered, it would be a real mess to get them covered in sawdust, or worse.

Really nice shop.I guess down inTexas you don’t need to heat the shop?That would be something I could live without.

Thanks Thorreain and Steve66. I do fire up the heater (forced air kerosene), a few days of the year. Other than that, really don’t need it.

The “Roomies” don’t get covered. Haven’t really thought of that. :-)

In the top photo, I left out the band saw, old Shop Smith, scroll saw and drill press. You can barely see them. Out of the photo is the metal lathe, and the belt/disk sander, with the planer, on a roll around cart. In the tool cabinet is the router, sabre saw, belt sander, cordless drill, nail gun, and other assorted tools. The work bench is 4’ by 16’, left over from my airplane building days. The hangar is 30’ by 40’ but woodworking uses, maybe 20% of that space.

That is a great shop, love the high ceilings. By the way is that a Chev or GMC in that back corner?

I was just wondering in the past you mentioned you were unable to fly anymore, your shop is a hanger and I noticed the Piper sign in your shop. Plus the fact your nickname is Shin, could that be a military aviator call sign? If I’m being too nosey, I apologize , but I have always loved airplanes and flying, and soloed in 1964.

Jack, there’s two Chevy’s in the hanger. A ‘64 stepside and a ’72 Fleetside. As for you being Nosey, nah, you’re just interested, and that’s cool. Never could be military, but “Shin” is my road name, as I ride motorcycles. The hangar houses my wood shop, two Chevy truck projects, a running ‘31 Model A roadster pickup and the pieces of two homebuilt airplanes. You’re a “Brother of the Air.” I solo’d about 30 years after you. :-)

Ianwater, the hangar does get hot, but I can fold the front open and get some air.

Nice set up . Like you I have a bay that was supposed the show room and outlet. but disability shot that idea out of the sky . So I park a 1975 Mustang Cobra 11 in that bay .

Wheaties, ‘75 Mustang II Cobra, eh? I had a ’74 Mustang II fastback, V-6 and 4 speed. I always thought of them as Mustangs, even when others didn’t. Would be great to see a picture.

Shin .Picked it up for $200.00 , 13 years ago . Complete with 302 engine . Replaced both quarter panels and lower part of drivers door .The hood scoop was install by me too . Disassembled engine 48,000 original miles and checked bearings . Reassembled and added an Offenhauser high rise manifold and and a 650 Offenhauser carb . In stalled a 466 posi rear end , Install an aluminum fuel cell . 3 inch lift in rear springs and air shocks . Heavy duty springs and shock extentions on the front. Put five coats enamel on it .

That’s a blue car. I like red cars, they go faster.

My photo is the “Bought New” ‘65 Impala Super Sport that my dad brought home in ’65. Been in the family ever since and now resides in my garage. It’s a little bit different from when dad bought it. Cragar SS mags, 700R4 tranny, dual exhaust and shoulder belts. I like wood, but I like “Muscle” too.

Hey guys , just so you know , that is my younger brother Rick installing the decals. I can’t get down like that any more . I have a pit in my garage which wouldn’t help for the decals. My buddy has a lift in his garage but the weather was to bad to take it there.
