There’s a building like that near me that’s even more oomph in terms of complexity. I saw it for the first time about 2 months ago. It’s the main building at the Old Bethpage Restoration. You can Google it for pictures. We went for the county fair, which, here in Nassau county, long island, means no animals (no farms) but lots of flowers and vegetables. Anyway I had to be careful walking through because I was staring up the whole time instead of looking at the exhibits or even watching where I was walking. LOL. Really cool stuff.

One more question – why in the heck did they clad the chimney with wood? ;-)

Losing fingers since 1969

that’s what I kept asking myself… the only thing I could think of was that they wanted it to blend into the rest of the woodwork.
But, to me, it’s just weird!

On the other hand, it was a good distraction when we had a “less than stellar” speaker at one point in the day :D

At least the milking cows will have a flat screen to watch .
Here is an old barn that I have passed by many times in
Laramie . Needs a little refurbish ……..and a flat screen : )

(the basketball net is about 14 feet off the ground, not exactly regulation )

^^ something I never saw before – a barn door that slides vertically. Must be the hay loft door. No room to slide side to side. How on Earth did they get the hay up there before electric powered elevators?
