re: Bradford pear vase with live oak halo base

Nice work Dave. I like the details as much as the Pear. We have miles of them up here, planted as street trees, and they can be as bland as can be, or have a nice grain. Almost worthless as a tree, they offer huge potential for items this size. I think the underappreciated part of them is that  the trees themselves are already so weak, you can get away with a lot in using the pith, without a lot of threat of blowing it up.
