Cool.. If it has some dry rot issues, and if your going to paint it, body shop filler ( bondo) works great to fill in the gaps. I have had great luck with it, besides managing a paint & body shop supply
Store, I and my customers have used it a lot for wood. It sands easily, and you can also get fiberglass filler, for real HD strength, should you need it….
