re: the beginning of a sectional bowl

lanwater , this bowl has vertical pcs . After I install them I have to fill in between one piece at a time until I get up past that area . Above and below the pattern is a standard segment rings . I just realized that my circle only has 11 segments and the bowl actually has 12 per row . Explains why I had to trim my pattern for a 12 piece ring . Also , in areas where it is the same wood for the whole ring , I would drop down to a 6 piece ring .
