re: Coat of Arms

I was going to cut mine out with my new (then) scroll saw, but discovered that it was too thick to get into the thing. I let it sit for awhile, and saw where someone else had made a carving in pieces and then put it together after. Mine’s currently 9 pieces, and I don’t have a back board for it like you do. I just built another chest to transport my carving tools, and was going to start in on my CoA again, but the wife gave me a knife to repair, so it’ll be tomorrow, after the temps go up. It’s been in the 50s here, and I have no heat in the garage. The mantle on mine is pretty involved. When I had the CoA designed (they are assumed, not inherited, arms), I should have thought about how much trouble it was going to be to carve it.
