Ryan, that’s true. I just worry that I’ll go too long between projects at some point.
Thanks, Tom! As the boards I had were too small for the entire height, I had to build the top and bottom separately, too. And I even got them both square! But that’s why the different spacing for the dovetails top and bottom.
I find that if I build a dedicated wood box for something, I end up taking a lot better care of it, so I think it’s worth the effort. Got a few more in the pipeline too. The nice bit is that I can knock out a box like this in three or four days, but the total working time is three to four hours, so I’m working on other projects in parallel. Which means I need to get other things out of my way, so I keep discovering more things that need storage boxes.
