Thanks, Tom! Yeah, the torrefied curly maple board I bought was ¾ thick, and after looking at how pretty it was, I resawed it to ⅜ and ended up with two ¼ boards when I was done smoothing, so I doubled the amount available to me. It came from
Curly Maple Wood and they really do have some pretty stuff. I wish I was a little more confident in my resawing, so I could’ve gotten 3 or more pieces out of it. One of these days maybe I’ll get good enough that I can make my own veneer.
