I've got a blaster under one of my assembly tables much the same size as your... been dragged out for miscellaneous jobs more than I would have thought, however, that tent seems like a handy add on and would have been great for some of my bigger needs that just finished up getting sanded externally.
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
