Clocks are always a fun build, woodworking with a function. Nice idea on the tile swapping. The tiles are a big part of personalizing to fit the room and if you ever start selling these it makes for a great feature.
Given the bi-yearly time changes, I like to have the self-setting motors because I might start breaking things if I'm setting every clock in the house while still 3/4 asleep. 😴
