@Eric I built a pair of these sawbenches back in 2010.   I use them all the time and they have held up well but being only red pine, they would not hold up to living outside.  They are sturdy enough to function as cribbing ponies (timber frame horses) but the larger surface area comes in very handy.  The other nice thing about a pair of them is you can stack them for elevating work.  Most timberframe sawehorses won't do that.
