Whenever I hit the wall of creative burnout I always build a box. The joinery choices seem inexhaustable and design has no limit as well. Your material choice of I believe VG fir shows to great effect and the slider is just icing on the cake. Very well done.

Some of my most creative moments have been when I've had to cover up an error in my woodworking.
