Yeah, the flag will tuck in just fine, no issues at all. It can be ‘fluffed’ to fill in space as needed. As for depth, that can be controlled (at least a little) but how neatly the flag is folded, so I wouldn’t sweat that too much either. If anything, err on making the compartment too deep, because you can always install a filler to get the depth just right. No one (most likely) will every remove the flag…so it can also be secured in place or to a backing to help hold shape if needed. Gonna be great!
