Most of my woodworking efforts are directed towards a finished product. I rarely use plans, I just start with what I want it to look like when I get it done and work my way back to doing it. My pulpit started with some figures that are probably average and I modified them to make it all work. Most of my home projects are the results of scraps left over from other projects that just needed a home. I hate to waste a good piece of wood!
