I think you did great OT!
I've had the same blistering from pulling a panel out of the vacuum bag too early.
Your recover is to be applauded, good work hiding the seam but that cat probably will point it out to everyone who gets close (cats are ingrates!)

The overall appearance is nice and consistent, the veneer will age with the solid.
