I think you're having mostly the you made it, so you are intimate with all of the undotted I's and uncrossed T's. Looking at the pics it looks great. That is also why making bookcases are so nice. Many mistakes will be hidden behind a wall of books. :-)

After looking at the pics, and reading your title, I feared you had somehow veneered the cat to the shelf.
