Morning Thorreain, and Brian. Thanks for the posts. Regarding the frets on my dulcimers, I have a system where I use a weighted rubber hammer to seat the frets. They are flat, not radiused like the guitar fret-boards. I usually use walnut or cherry for my fret-boards because they are dense, and polish well. For special orders, I have used rosewood, maple, and ebony for the finger-board layers.
