Splint, nice writeup, good explanation of process and I see the original lamp waspretty nice looking & referred to it as I read this procedure description. I gotta say though, your camera needs a flash or you need to turn on the lights when taking some photos. I downloaded your lamp Pic from #1, and had to brighten to see details.
