Hi Bruce, That one block of wood came from a log I bought in Oak Harbor , Washington. It was about 15" in diameter and around 13" long...and fresh cut. All the other Madrone logs he had were split all over. I wish the other photos would have been able to transfer. They show how I sliced two pieces off and doweled them together so would line up perfectly after doing all the machining.
