Fortunately those ice makers "usually" alll use the same basic internal motor system so the maker part is cheap to replace.
It's the model specific plastic bits that get my goat.
My (Amana) has the cube crusher. There is a diversion flap that either lets the cubes drop out the chute or forces them through the chopper. Had that plastic flap break when the chute froze over. Only replacement I could find was a used unit on ebay. Some work with SS sheet steel and pop rivets maybe fixed my old one but don't know until this next unit fails.

You 3D printer guys could make some coin if there was a way to gauge the market demand for parts and have a way to scan in complex shaped bits for easy modeling.
