re: messy glue, nice clean up

Looks great brian. I had used a chisel like that on my bench top. The only difference was the chisel was a homade one I fashioned from a file years ago, it stays razor sharp forever. By adjusting the angle you use it as a scraper you can even flatten some areas quicker and with more control than any plane. I’ve had that little gem in my tool box for over twenty years. Recently I made another from a rasp but I don’t have it quite as sharp yet to replace a plane with yet.

I use them as some would use a block plane, but they fit into a tool pouch better, and they have a file as well as a nice handle.
