Pottz - Thanks! As is evident, I got to use-up more scraps in building the jig.
Ty - I did not even think of a planer sled as part of a solution. Even now, I'm having trouble having trouble picturing just how to make such a jig. I'll have to do some more thinking on that one.
Dave - I did consider going with square-cut spikes. I spent a lot of time looking at images to try to convince myself that the originals were square cut. Once I found the damning images that showed them as diamond shaped, I felt compelled to try to do the same. An engineering problem to solve is just icing on the cake of any project. 🤣
