Super nice craftsmanship here, the finished plane looks & works - per the video - perfectly.
This tutorial writeup is very interesting and well documented. I learned that the plane sole is hollowed out, and after thinking about it, I think that is pretty smart thinking. It greatly reduces friction and makes checking & flattening the sole much easier should there be wood movement later.
I assume iron adjustment is via plane adjusting hammer, similar to the older western wooden body artifacts from the past. Do you find this to be the case? Easy to do?
