Woooo glad I have a newer house right about now. Hardly anything to do, but LONG ago I flipped a lot of houses, so I can relate to what you are doing right now.
Damn, that beam was infested, that's a good fix getting that thing outta there. Hope you had inside and outside treated. Little buggers will make ya cry if they eat your foundation out from under all that other heavy timber. Darn houses have a way of sagging, and then falling down if the bugs have their way.
But there is something about an old house that can get under your skin. But I'm way too old to be playing that game anymore.
