For the body I made segmented rings. Lots of rings. Also solid wood rings.

When I came up with a plan I decided to jump right in the middle and start there. This is the center section of the 3 sections that make up the body of the plane.

The segmented rings are 12 segment. Final size of the ring is 5" with a 2 1/2" hole in the center.

I'm a fan of the wedgie sled. He was the first that I saw using it. I bought a set of wedges from him. He gave away the plans, he deserves it more than some guy with a cnc.

I have always used metal hose clamps and a power driver when making rings, until I didn't have enough. That was a lucky break. Vinyl zipties are the way to go. Quick and easy. If yours aren't long enough, add 2 together.

This is getting complex, love it!

Good tip with the zip ties, they go on the "list" with dict tape and WD-40.
Good tip!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Indeed paintaking job,but result will be awesome
