video - Veritas router base for Dremel tool

I did a review of this gadget a while back.  Since then, I have used it for a number of projects and like it even more.

Here is the link to my earlier review:  https://craftisian.com/reviews/30-veritas-veritas-plunge-base-for-rotary-tool

In building some of my cellarettes, the stringing is absolutely critical, coming so late in the build that a single slip would be disastrous.  This device made it a breeze.  This week, I used the base in routing the recesses for small colored epoxy inlays in wine bottle gift boxes.

I have a few of those that came with Dremel kits over the years. While functional, they can be a bit "loose" and flex around.
This LV model looks as solid as all their other stuff.
I take it you free-hand most of your inlay cuts?
Wow! That’s a great option when a trim router is just a little bit too much. I’ve done a couple projects of lid late that could have used that! Thanks for posting.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

ive got the one made by stewmac which i like, but id say the veritas looks like its even better.

If I did more of that type work, it might be worth it. $200 is a bit much for how much I’d use it…I’d want the fences, of course.

CAREY,

I have that base. Works great. I bought a pedal on off so I can have both hands on at all times.

Their gear is very solid and this looks no different. Nice job.
