Cherry Side Table

This started as what I thought would be a simple project almost a year ago; I’d make a side table with drawers that would hold hanging file folders. Not surprisingly it was a much bigger project than anticipated and like most large, complicated projects, I struggled to stay motivated to finish it. Still need to pick out drawer pulls but otherwise it’s done!

Primary wood and slab are cherry; drawers are maple with cherry and wenge fronts. Finish is 4 coats of Minwax “Tung” oil and 2 coats of wipe-on poly.

Very nice work. I like the design and the choice of wood,

impressive design and build looks great.

I love the live edge floating top! Cherry is one of my favorites, and you have a nice complement with the Wenge drawers.

Never been a fan of Live edge, but this may change my mind:)
First thing that caught my eye was the legs, then the Dove tails,
the contrast grain for the drawer fronts put this in a class of its own!
Would be very difficult to put a price on this piece?
