I recently made some knives. The Knife is a camillus kit from woodcraft. For the handle I 3d printed 2 rectangular molds. I had a piece of padauk laying around so I cut that up and put the pieces in the mold. Then I used liquid diamonds resin colored with rose gold mica powder to fill the mold and put that in my pressure pot. Then I cut out the shape of the handle on my bandsaw a little bigger than needed, drilled the pin holes and epoxied everything together. Shaped the handle on my rigid oscillating spindle sander after that. The other knives are from a cheese knife kit I got from exotic blanks. The red is a wood block I have laying around mainly meant for carving wood. I added the color with unicorn spit dye that I got from Michaels. It is real easy to apply and looks good once a couple of coats have been added. I promised Pottz when I was making these that at least one would be all wood and there is another one that I made of all wood but dont remember what kind of wood it is. Another one I cast cholla in 2 blocks that I epoxied together and turned. I 3d printed a gisi style mold that I cast liquid diamonds epoxy in for one. The last one I 3d printed a rectangular mold and put some wood I have for casting hybrid blanks in and filled it with liquid diamonds epoxy. all of them polished up on the lathe and the wood(including the hybrid) handles were finished with woodturners finish.
