Ripped strips of 3/4 plywood and glue them four at the time, cut then in squares and glue them for the top of the table I used a 3/4 piece of pine on the perimeter so the unfinish edge of the plywood won't show.

Neat way of creating a parkay top, but I see it worked well. Really like the drawers at end.

Very nice table,
I'm glad I checked out the build pics,  I thought at first glance you had used parkay flooring.
Flawless job with the plywood,  and getting the color consistent,  kudos.
Great storage with those big drawers. Very Good!
Thanks for sharing.

Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.

Looks great and the drawers for added storage are a major plus.  What did you use for your finish?  Really super project.
I like that! Very cool pattern you built there…

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

O I love that design angel... that ply top is a novel idea.

Just goes to prove you don't need exotics to create great furniture... whom knows, people may forgive me for using MDF.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Angel,

Great design.  I love the Parquet top idea from ply.

Well done!
