My first “serious” project. Almost 10 years old now, but I’m still awful proud of it for my first attempt at carving and shaping. It’s solid black walnut with curly maple drawer fronts. All jointery is mortise and tenon. Drawer guides are wood as well. All carving on the feet I did with gouges, chisels, knives, and files. Plus a whole bunch of sanding. No rotary tools on this project. It took plenty of time but was all worth it in the end.
I like it . looks like it could walk away, awesome job

Beautiful piece. I can see why you like it so much, you must be very proud of your hard work. It is surely an heirloom.
