Mickey Ear Holders

Every time my daughter makes a trip to Florida she comes back with 4 or 5 mores sets of ears, and I need to make some ear holders so she can display them on a wall in her room.

Very simple to make. Use 4" hole cutter and glue two halves together, paint, then glue on the front decoration.

Now knowing how protective Disney is of it copyrighted designs, I would NEVER make the front design.  I I bought them from a craft store. But if I were to look at the front decoration very carefully, it looks like a  1" and a 5/8" dowel cut approximately  1/4" thick. I can envision the person/company that made them creating  a simple jig that would hold the large center piece, then drill the holes for the ears, the glue the pieces together.      But since I did NOT make them, I simply glued and clamped them to the front.

They are held to the wall with a Command Strip that holds 1 lb.

If the ears are extremely wide/think, like the graduation ears, I put a small piece of Velcro on the top of the holder, and the opposite on the bottom of the ears

My FIL made something similar for my wife when she was a little girl. Very cool.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Nicely done, and a wonderful way to display them.
