Cherry Shop Storage Boxes

I've been spending more time at a marina bidding some winter projects that some skippers have put off due to the fine cruising weather we have been enjoying. While there I met up with a shipwright who was putting together a small shop for his needs. Current projects were discussed and I mentioned that I needed some flux brushes for glue and more scotch brite pads. He replied that he needed the same but always forgot to order them. At home I sat down at the puter and called up Amazon and did a double order of coarse and fine scotch brite pads along with 12 dozen flux brushes. While awaiting their delivery I milled up some cherry shop stock and created 2 sets of box jointed storage containers with tight fitting sliding lids (to keep the dust out). A Danish oil finish and one set is now on a shelf in my shop with the 2nd set standing by till the next trip to the marina to be presented to their new owner.

Some of my most creative moments have been when I've had to cover up an error in my woodworking.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Nice boxes and a good welcome gift for the new owner.  Well done.

Love me some nice storage boxes, cherry none the less 👍

Box joints are excellent, just don't like trying to get glue everywhere and assembled before it all starts to set up. 🙂
Pretty good Joe...
I probably would have used ziploc baggies.
