Grandma's Owl Jug

Grandma's Owl Jug

My wife’s grandmother cut down a pine tree last year and I picked up a couple of pieces to see if I could make anything out of it. I decided to turn a nice piece of crotch wood but before I could get started she passed away. I decided to turn a jug for my wife just so she could have something of her grandmothers. As I started turning the jug I noticed what appeared to be eyes on the side of the jug. I showed it to my wife and she thought it looked like an owl, her grandmother collected owls. So now we have Grandma’s Owl Jug and my wife loves it.
