steel clad bookcase

This was the inspiration for my first post. The structure is made from across plywood with rusty pitted steel and tarnished brass screwed to the out side. The crown molding is made from 4" pipe I cut into quarters, with brass soldiered to the top and bottom.

Thanks for the editors choice! I do love this design. A little back story on these, the first pair of this shape we made in reclaimed rosewood, we sold them to a antique dealer in NYC. The next time we saw them they were feachered in el decor magazine, they were being described as regency period English bookcases.
