Custom Oak Bar

Some friends were looking for a bar. They could not find a bar from a store they like. They asked me if I could build one. This is my first and only Bar that I have built. Took me a Month to build this. All cubbies were designed on what they had. The glass holder was my own design. It is strange how in the shop with bright light it looks light colour. when it is in their house it is dark and believe me it is a dark mahogany colour. The bars they looked at had permanent wine rack. I thought what happens if a bottle breaks or spills happen… how do you get inside to clean. So I made them removable. They can slide in and out according to bottle size.

Great work Steve. A great example of custom making what people want, not just what’s on the shelf, and it will out last the box store pressed wood stuff by at least ten times. Great piece of furniture/bar.

Thank you it is done from scratch. Started with a base then added the sides the middle the shelves and the top and then the bar rail.

Great custom woodworking. I love it
