Well I’m backing out of the new build area because the owner has asked that I finish out 2 bedrooms so she can move stuff in for storage. I have a lot of new wood. So I have the chore to match stain with tho old original lumber. After a few hours of research and a lot of trial and error I finally got it. Here’s a tip if you’re interested. Red dye thinned with water applied to the board first followed with Minwax Provincial stain diluted with paint thinner. I cup of thinner to a pint of stain.
