Soaring Bald Eagle - Carving

Decided to carve something different .. My wife suggested a soaring eagle.. and I said that is going to be hard. But a challenge always is a good motivator. So I decided to try my hand at a flying bird carving.
I purchased 3 blocks of wood and used a patter for proper proportions and got busy. It took about a month of part time work.. Lots of fun.

Thank you Jim Webster … I always like to work with my hands .. About 2 years ago I decided to try carving, and then it evolved from there. The smell of saw dust, and wood are intoxicating. LOL
