Carved Yellow Goldfinch and Robin

I carved these birds during a bird carving course through our local town recreation center. Basswood was used to hand carve the birds. They are painted first using one coat of shellac, followed by a thin coat of white gesso, and then acrylic paint. This is my first experience with hand carving.
