Wood came from neighbor around the corner. Not sure if it is oak. Density and grain is similar. Lid was made from black walnut, but patched it with epoxy, and natural stone clay. Painted rim with black acrylic to cover the clay/epoxy patch.

Beautiful turning.

look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's a big hunk of the bowl I was turning.
