This is an older project made from Chechen and Curly Maple mainly. I resawed the piece of curly maple I used for the lid because it was just too pretty of a piece not to use on more than one project. It’s about 3/8 of an inch thick and backed with the same thickness of Oak. I then used Birdseye Maple to band the lid. I did not use a handle on this box, instead I moved the hinge pins towards the front a little, allow the lid to be raised with gentle pressure to the back of it.
I am sure some of you have seen this one before, but I will have new projects before long.
Thanks for taking a look.
