Basketweave handbag

I made this months ago.
I put my wallet, mobile, and keys inside and I’m ready to go.

What I did was create a panel with the pattern, fold in half (hand sew the sides with the same yarn) put the brim of sc, skip the stitches ( for the handle) and continue sc and done.

I didn’t join the single crochet stitches with slip stitch, I just continued working all of the stitches around with the help of a stitch marker.
