Outlander Inspired Capelet

This piece was inspired by a dear friend whose mother is in a senior community and based on a capelet featured in the Outlander series that aired earlier in 2014. I had searched online for a crochet pattern but found patterns only for knitters. Since I can’t, for the life of me, handle two needles, I had to come up with my own pattern and here is the result. Drape and warmth can be modified simply by using different yarns. This specific capelet uses a bulky weight yarn, but I’ve also made it in worsted weight [base chain and number of rows needs to be modified to allow for the lighter yarn].
