Bottom & Sides*

Rnd 1:
Starting at bottom, ch 8, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 4, (dc in ring, ch 1) 14 times, join with sl st in 3rd ch of ch 4 to complete the round (15 dc, 15 ch sps).

Rnd 2:
Sl st in first ch sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, ch 3, sc in next ch sp, ch 3 repeat * around, join with sl st in first sc to complete the round (15 ch sps).

Rnd 3:
Sl st in first ch sp, ch 3, dc in same sp, ch 1, 2 dc in next ch sp, ch 1 repeat * around, join with sl st in top of ch-3 to complete the round (30 dc, 15 ch sps).

Rnd 4:
Sl st in next st, sl st in next ch sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, ch 3, sc in next ch sp, ch 3 repeat * around, join with sl st in first sc to complete the round (15 ch sps).

Rnd 5:
Sl st in first ch sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same 3 ch sp, ch 1, * 4 dc in next ch sp, ch 1; repeat * around, join with sl st in top of ch-3 to complete the round (15 ch sps).

Rnd 6:
Sl st to first ch 1 sp, sl st in ch 1 sp, sc in same sp, ch 4, sc in next ch 1 sp, repeat * around, sl st in first sc to complete the round

Rnd 7:
Sl st in first ch sp, ch 3, 5 dc in same sp, 6 dc in each ch sp, ch 1 repeat * around, join with sl st in top st of ch-3 to complete the round (15 ch sps).

Rnd 8:
Ch 2 (counts as 1 sc), sc top next 5 dc, 1 sc in ch 1 sp, sc in next 6 dc, 1 sc in ch 1 sp, repeat * around, sl st in 2 ch sp to complete the round (105 sc)

Rnd 9 & 10:
Ch 2 (counts as 1 sc), sc in next sc and each sc around, sl st in 2 ch sp to complete the round (105 sc)

Rnd 11:
Ch 3 (first dc), dc in next sc, ch 1, sk next sc, dc next 2 sc, ch 1 repeat * around, sl st in 3rd ch of ch 3 to complete the round (35 ch sps)

Rnd 12:
Sl st to first ch 1 sp, ch 7, sc in ch1 sp repeat * around, sc into fist sc to complete the round (35 ch sps)

Rnd 13 – 30:
3 sc around 1st ch 7 (this will leave you with 4 sc going up the ch 7 – see pic below), ch 7, sc around center of ch 7 repeat * around, sc into fourth sc to complete the round (35 ch sps)

Rnd 31:
Sc 1 aound ch 7 sp, ch 2, 3 dc in ch 7 sp, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch 7 sp repeat * around, ch 1, sl st in top of ch 2 sp to complete the round (35 ch sps, 105 dc)

Rnd 32:
1 sl st across first dc, ch 3, dc between 2nd and 3rd dc from row below, ch 1, sk 2 st (sc and dc from row below), dc in next 2 st, repeat * around, ch 1, sl st in top of ch 3 to complete the round (35 ch sps, 70 dc)

Rnd 33 -35:
1 ch (counts as 1st sc), sc in each st around, sl st to ch 1 to complete the round (105 sc)

Rnd 36 (Creates the Top Loops):
Ch 3, sk 2 st, sc in next st, ch 2, sk 2 st, sc in next st repeat * around, sl st into 1ch 3 st to complete the round (35 ch 2 sp)

Rnd 37:
Ch 2, 2 sc in ch 2 sp, sc in next st, 2 sc in ch repeat * around, sl st into ch 2 space to complete the round.

Fasten off. Sew in loose ends.

Strap

Hook: H
Yarn: Worsted Weight – color of choice
Gauge: 4ch = 1 inch

Long strap (24 inch hang length to top of tote)
Chain 390 st (approx. 98 inches), sc in 2 st from end, sc in each st across. Do not finish off.

Average Strap (19 inch hang length to top of tote)
Chain 350 st (approx. 88 inches), sc in 2 st from end, sc in each st across. Do not finish off.

Short Strap (14 inch hang length to top of tote)
Chain 310 st (approx. 78 inches), sc in 2 st from end, sc in each st across. Do not finish off.

Weave the strap through the top loops using an over / under looping. Sew or Crochet ends together, finish off and weave in ends.

Adjust Straps to equal lengths.
