I first learned to crochet in August 2013. As I made scarves from patterns that I downloaded, I grew to love crocodile stitches and scales. By March 2014, I was learning free-form crochet from a private teacher in Durango, CO. This is is the very first project in this method.
I moved on to making vests with faux fur in following with my teacher. The finished product sold November 1, 2014, at a local fair—at least 5 couples wanted an exact duplicate. I never duplicate my vests! Full length. The Back:
By mid-July 2014, I completed vest five, which sold in December. Vest 9 is a custom design that a customer asked in the color of vest-6 (not shown) displayed at a recent December fair. . .describing a cape for a black-tie affair.
I’m working on and completing two more one-of-a-kind vests for 2015 shows and art galleries. Other products that I’ve designed and sold are Stole-N-Hoods—some with crocodile stitches, faux fur and eyelash, as well as hood cowls.
